Body of Minnesota Man Found in Freezer After Attempting to Evade Arrest Identified

At about 3:30 p.m. on June 26, the Gilbert Police Department got a 911 call about a dead man found inside a chest freezer at a house on 4th Avenue North, around 200 miles north of Minneapolis. In response, GPD officers headed to the scene at the residence located in the 300 block.

In Biwabik, Minnesota, the unfortunate demise of Brandon Lee Buschman unfolded amidst police efforts to serve an active warrant for his arrest. While searching an unoccupied home, authorities stumbled upon the lifeless body of Buschman, aged 34, in the basement. Buschman’s unfortunate choice to conceal himself in a chest freezer was a direct consequence of the impending arrest and the presence of law enforcement.
