In the vicinity of 26th Avenue NW, a domestic dispute prompted Miami-Dade Police Department to respond. The incident unfolded after an altercation between Geddes and her sister escalated in intensity.

When police were on the scene, Geddes was seen punching her sister in the face with a closed hand, according to WSVN. Surprisingly, neither Geddes nor her sister provided any statements or reported the incident, causing the officers to leave.

A different woman was reportedly the target of Geddes’s hurling of items during a second unforeseen altercation that occurred while police were trying to handle the initial dispute, as reported by Miami’s ABC affiliate, WPLG.

Geddes, amid police handling the escalating second dispute, managed to get her hands on a rather large bottle of HDX — a white hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid is commonly used to remove efflorescence or adjust pool pH levels. In a reckless act, her goal was to throw it at her sister. The outside HDX containers have clear labels warning consumers about the potential dangers involved, like the high risk of getting severe burns or the chance of eye damage if the substance touches your eyes.

According to sources, the niece of Geddes’ sister had an unfortunate encounter with the airborne acid, whereas Geddes’ sister miraculously was unscathed. The report’s pertinent details regarding the girl’s identity and age were absent. As relayed by WPLG, law enforcement verified that the acidic substance had impacted the front of the child’s body, resulting in her sustaining injuries. Supposedly, once the authorities effectively intervened and separated the individuals involved, the incident expeditiously reached the attention of a detective assigned to the department’s unit dedicated to handling domestic violence cases, as per WSVN.

At approximately 8.30 pm on Thursday, Gueddis was taken by the police to Knight Correctional Center in Guilford, Turner. The Legal and Crime Unit contacted Miami-Dade police for more details, but an immediate response still needs to be received. WPLG, the local news outlet, revealed that her bail had been set at $7,500.
