I believe those politicians seeking prison reform and elimination of the police force are trying to copy from some Nordic counties like Sweden and Finland. These countries have open-door prison policies and light sentencing with more proactive rehabilitation programs.
However, one thing these tunnel visioned Politicians don’t realize is that Nordic counties have centuries of cultural and educational experience that breed lesser and fewer violent people.
Unfortunately, liberals are trying to walk the path of others, forgetting who they are.
