The answer to your question is multifaceted; however, generally, it has to do with the validation and physician attitude. Most, if not all, are designed for billing and insurance reimbursement purposes, and little to do with physician practice enhancement. The majority of physicians spend more time documenting today using EHR than before. I including some articles which maybe address some of your questions.
